How to choose activities for Hen Weekends

It seems nowadays girls go excited about getting married thinking of the hen weekends they would get to spend exclusively with their girl gang. And this kind of behaviour is quite justifiable keeping in mind the extra advantages of hen weekends over other weekends-outs. No guardian, no restrictions, no worries and most importantly no boys… at least not the ones you personally know. It is an ultimate opportunity to have limitless fun. And to maximise this fun, you, as an organiser, need to choose the hen activities with a lot of considerations. After all you want this weekend to be a hit.

Some of the things you need to be careful about before choosing the hen activities for hen weekends are as follows:

  • Always start with a bonding game. Games are a part of the hen activities. And if you are having a diverse guest list, you first need to remove all the awkwardness from among them. A game like “Miss Quiz” or “Truth and Dare” can be really helpful in this matter.
  • Serve everyone. Once the girls are comfortable, you can go for an activity that probably interests everybody or at least majority of them. If you do have a minority not interested in a particular activity, you should be able to make immediate arrangements for some other activity of their taste.
  • Spread the activities wisely throughout the hen weekend. They should not be all clustered in one day or in one slot of time while maintaining rarefaction in other times. Also, not more than two activities requiring physical exhaustion should be included in one day. Relaxing activities like a spa treatment should be there to compliment sporty activities.
  • Always keep the hen first. Remember, the hen weekend is supposed to be dedicated to the hen and nothing should be included that makes her unhappy or uncomfortable. If male strippers aren’t her preference, do not force it on her just because you find it amusing.
